In the vertical juicer i do not recommend using 

     the pusher when using the vertical juicer that can cause issues because you may be feeding things in more quickly than the juicer can handle it and that is going to be a problem now the other thing when using a slow juicer is once you put the last produce item in don't just go ahead and immediately turn it off if juice is still coming out and the pulp is still flowing out you want to let it run maybe another minute or so to get all the juice out and get all the produce that you put in completely processed .
