"I'd have never believed they'd implement girls to the game," Powers told USA TODAY Sports. "Even though I feel as though we should be in there." Dallas Wings guard Allisha Gray has been playing 2K because Shaquille O'Neal graced the cover in 2005, and that she still has difficulty believing that she's part of it. Alexis Jones, who had been waived by the Atlanta Dream in August, has consistently enjoyed making her very own player on 2K and tends to mold his game after her own. This will be the first year she will not need to create herself at the picture of a guy.

"That was my fantasy come true, '' I really don't know about everybody else," Jones said. "I know that's one thing that I always dreamed of as a little woman -- to maintain a 2K match. This opportunity to create yourself and construct yourself and be a woman is dope."
